PICk Assessment for Human Resources Manager or Director
Infinet's PICk Assessment for the Human Resources Manager or Director looks at key competencies for success in the area of human resources management. These include the core competencies for the new millenium as defined by David Ulrich and Wayne Brockbank from the University of Michigan. They include Strategic Contribution which is made up of culture management, rapid change, strategic decision making, and market connectivity; Personal Credibility which is comprised of interpersonal skills, results orientation and communication skills; Traditional HR Deliverables consisting of staffing, learning and development, organizational development and compensation; Business Knowledge which consists of an applied understanding of the integrated value chain and an understanding of the company's value proposition; and HR Technologies which consists of an understanding of how to leverage rapidly developing technologies to better manage the traditional HR deliverables and to shift from a transactional department to a strategic one. None of these competencies are possible without a strong verbal ability which has been proven as a necessary competency in every successful HR professional. In addition, the assessment looks at math ability to allow for a complete understanding of a firm's financials as well as the metrics necessary to outfit a high end HR dashboard. As always, that which is not measured is not accomplished.
